Abstract

Floristic exploration for the family Convolvulaceae in Upper Gangetic Plains of India resulted in the addition of five
species (Cuscuta campestris Yunck., Ipomoea quamoclit L., Ipomoea triloba L., Ipomoea capitellata Choisy var.
multilobata Bhellum and Ipomoea laxiflora Chowdhery and Debta) to the flora of Allahabad district. The details
including photographs, scientific names, vernacular names, distinguishing characters, associated plants, phenology,
habitat, locality of collection, field number are mentioned in the present paper.
