Abstract

The effects of Lime Kiln's air pollution on four horticultural flowering shrub species have been assessed in Jhukehi region.  Considerable differences in visual foliar injuries like chlorosis and necrosis have been observed between the leaves of polluted and control plants.  A significant reduction in chlorophyll content of leaves and flower output has been observed for the plants growing around the limekilns cluster.

Keywords: Lime Kiln's pollution, horticultural plants, chlorophyll, injury, flowering
