Abstract
The Present paper attempts to examine the association of ABO and Rh (D) blood groups with MR in the light of some fresh data available from Andhra Pradesh, South India. The study has been done among 325 mentally retarded children chosen at random from different districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh along with suitable controls with reference to ABO and Rh (D) blood groups. No significant association was noted between mentally retarded children for ABO and Rh (D), blood groups.
