Abstract

Sickle cell haemoglobin and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency are reported for two endogamous subgroups (Goldsmiths & Carpenters) of Viswa Brahmins, and artisan caste population of Visakhapatnam City, Andhra Pradesh, India. The results are compared with those of other populations from Andhra Pradesh.
