Abstract

Apluda mutica L. infected with Puccinia apludae showed considerable increase in per-oxidase activity with increase in severity of disease. Lower activity of polyphenol oxidase with higher amount of total and 0-dihydroxy phenols was recorded in severely infected leaves.  Increased protein and carbohydrate contents with low alpha-amylase activitiy  were recorded in infected leaves.
