Abstract
This paper presents repeated observations on (in situ) germination of megaspores inside the heterosporous sporangia of Isoetes panti. Both kinds of ancestral and typical megaspores produce projected archegonia. Young embryo developes through periclinal and longitudinal walls. Heterosporous sporangia are being termed as "par excellence in plant morphology" and production of highly unusual hitherto unknown features are being attributed to recently discovered highly conserved DNA sequences, (A-Trich), present in Isoetes pantii and absent in other species.
