Abstract

Studies on the heavy metal toxicity and temperature interactions were carried out in respect of sed germination in fenugreek. Though the higher doses of metals reduced the seed of germination, the ultimate germination was always 100%. The ideal temperature for seed germination was found to be 30°C. Higher temperatures nullified the toxic effect of zinc as well as cadmium. At 45°C a consistent abnormality in the seed germination was observed.
