Abstract
The data of floristic analysis (angiosperms) of Madhya Pradesh have indicated that 2,214 species under 930 genera
and 166 families occur in the state. Poaceae is the largest family (242 species) while Cyperus is the dominant genus
(47 species). The details of analysis along with endemic and rare plants and affinities of the flora with Western
Himalayas, Eastern Himalayas, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Orissa and Peninsular India have been provided in the
paper.
