CONTROL OF MELOIDOGYNE INCOGNITA ON SOLANUM MELONGENA BY MUTUAL APPLICATION OF GA3 WITH TWO ORGANOCARBAMATES

Abstract
Optimum concentration (100 mgL-1) of GA3 was selected based on several biological parameters. Application of GA3 with all concentrations (0.5 to 10.0 g.a.i.L-1) of aldicarb and carbofuran showed synergistic behavior on all morphological parameters viz. root length, shoot length, fresh weight, dry weight, duration for anthesis formation and crop yield in plants infected with M. incognita. Root knot index (RKN) was found to be decrease depending on the concentration of aldicarb and carbofuran. However, addition of GA3 accentuated the impact of both nematicides on root knot index.
