Abstract
Chiasmata frequencies were scored for five species of the Aedes (Stegomyia) scutellaris group. Statistial analysis using DUNCAR's multiple range test for comparison of means revealed that mean chaismata frequency was species specific. Hence, it has been proposed to be used as an additional cytotaxonomic tool.
Keywords: Aedes scutellaries, chaismata frequency, cytotaxonomy
