Abstract

This paper suggests probably for the first time that cotwins of normal (control group) monozgotic twins have greater proportion of gamma chains when compared to identical sex and age group individuals in the family and in general population. The Cotwins who inhaled accidently released methyl isocyanate gas in the midnight of 2-3 December, 1984 at Bhopal also revealed exaggerated proportion of gamma chains. This is in conformity with our earlier observations.
