Abstract
The present paper reports the callusing and plantlets regeneration from five F1hybrids of Safflower Viz.- HUS-305 x Th-10, N-62-8 x Th-10, JSF-7 x Th-10, Mangira x Th-10, and A-1 x Th-10 and the influence of factors such as light, growth regulators and genotype of the hybrid. Present studies have showed that the light has stimulating influence on callus induction. The combinations of 6-benzyl aminopurine (BAP) and α-naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) at higher concentrations favoured organogenesis and plant regeneration. Out of five F1hybrids tested, the performance of JSF-7 x Th-10 was better followed by Mangira x Th-10.
