Abstract
Hyperfine structure parameters of hemoproteins in four different body disorders are examined using the electron paramagnetic resonance technique at 77 K and 303 K. g value increases in all types of disorders (i.e. lepromatous leprosy, LL; pulmonary tuberculosis, PTB; burns and leukemia). Spin-spin relaxation time (T2) falls systematically in LL., PTB, burns and leukemia. The value of line width ∆H1/2, is found to highly susceptible in M. leprae infection.
One of the major contribution of the present work is to establish that Fe2+transition metal ions are in low concentration and Cu2+ metal ions are in high concentration in LL hemoprotein samples as compared to normals.
