Abstract

Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) is a syndrome that presents with decreased visual acuity or loss of vision and visual hallucinations and is not accompanied by any psychopathology. Vivid, complex and repetitive visual hallucinations occur. These do not occur as part of psychiatric illnesses. Patients are aware that hallucinations are not real. It occurs due to reasons such as age-related macular degeneration and cataracts.
