Dr. Gonzalo Martínez-Barrera

Dr. Gonzalo Martínez-Barrera is graduate from National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and gets a postdoctoral fellowship at University of North Texas as well as research stances (France, Portugal, Canada, USA, Peru, Colombia). He develops research at the Laboratory of Research and Development of Advanced Materials (LIDMA), College of Chemistry of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM). Among the published works, he has above 83 scientific papers, 3 books and 22 book chapters. He is a regular reviewer of several journals, member of editorial boards and lead editor of special issues (see list below). For 20 years, he is member of the National Research System of Mexico (SNI), coordinate by National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACYT). He had conducted several research projects supported by Mexican (CONACYT, UAEM, COSNET, DGIT) and USA governments, and had been students’ advisor (Bachelor 35; Master Science 16; Ph.D. 12). He teaches class at bachelor and graduate programs, as well as teaching courses at local industries. Now he develops research in ceramic-polymer composites, and recycling materials, as well as on the effects of gamma radiation on their physiochemical properties; with applications on construction materials such as cement or polymer concrete
