Method of Automatic Measurement Equivalent Diameter of Scattering Circle and Finding the Plane of the Best Image in Lens

Abstract

Method of measuring distribution function of a spot in the plane of the best image of lens is considered. The aim of research is to reduce measuring time of lens distribution function and simplify processing measuring results for automatically control using. In the considered method, the slit or light – shadow boundary of spread function is scanned with possibility of conversion to contrast frequency characteristic. Numerical evaluation is made through equivalent diameter of circle in spot distribution. Method of calculation of equivalent diameter is developed. An automatic installation for measuring equivalent diameter in different planes near focal plane of lens is described. Scheme and design of installation with led and laser illuminators are considered. The results of study of dependence of scattering circle diameter on parameters of beam illuminating lens are presented. Processing of measurement results is carried out in standard program Excel.
